While she now loves what she sees in the mirror, she said taking control of her health had made her feel better about herself, not just physically. ![]() 'I taught myself portion size and I wholeheartedly admit for me, my weight loss was down to what I put in my mouth.'īecause she was burning more and exerting more energy at work, Brooke upped her calories to 1,800 a day to sustain her and the kilos kept dropping off.īy the time she hit her 10kg weight loss goal, she was feeling confident she could go the extra mile so continued new regime.Īnother breakfast favourite is a bacon and egg muffins which she has with a wholewheat English muffin, barbecue sauce and no cooking oil or butter.īefore lunch she snacks on protein yoghurt with a teaspoon of peanut butter or a hard boiled egg with salt and pepper.īrooke usually has dinner leftovers for lunch but will often eat a taco bowl with seasoned turkey or pork mince, cos lettuce, tomato, corn, capsicum, light sour cream, hot sauce and crushed corn chips for extra crunch.įor dinner she enjoys salmon with garlic broccolini and potatoes cooked in air fryer or mash adding she avoids cheese and cooks with as little oil as she can. 'I sporadically did a gym class with friends every now and then, but I don't really enjoy the gym,' she said. 'I started with 1,200 calories a day which is very low, but I was stuck at home in lockdown and wasn't exerting much energy.'īrooke teamed her new clean diet with regular exercise, walking or jogging up to 10km a day.Īfter lockdown finished, she dropped down to 4km-6km as she was on her feet all day working and tried going to the gym more often but attributes her body transformation to a calorie deficit.
